I’m at Bewley’s Hotel in Dublin again and it’s still €89 per night for a twin room and it’s still incredible value. It’s night-time now and I’m writing this before I watch an episode of Arrested Development (thanks Patrick, Niall) and catch some sleep. There’s a hotel shuttle bus from here roughly every 20 minutes which starts and stops roughly when passengers needs it. I’m leaving an bit of a rough margin to counter the roughness. I have Hamachi set up again this time (see this post) and just used it to do compile a project at home and get the files moved here, which finishes my responsibilities in Ireland. Semester finished, exams down, Skynet presidency term complete, this project over. Unfortunately my US visa still hangs in the air until I can get a new DS-2019 issued and get my passport to the embassy, and I’m still on contract work with Rovsing when they need some remote admin, but other than that I’m free~~!
I can’t wait to get back to Japan. Okazaki seemed like a nice little place last summer. I expect it to be a cold but nice little place when I arrive. I’m hoping I can meet someone interesting on the plane, because based on my reading, Lufthansa have only started installing seat-back entertainment on their planes last November and by April they expect to have 40% of their planes set up with it. The odds of my plane being converted are pretty low, so I’ll be holding out on Watchmen tonight in anticipation of needing it on the plane. Also got a copy of Jumper after the trailer in the cinema for the film version reminded me of hearing about the book a while ago. MacBook should give me 4 hours of Arrested Development and the iPod should give music for as long as I want as long as I keep the WiFi and display off as much as possible.
My bag is filled with sesame sticks and Pringles since airplane food terrifies me. Last time the stewardess was nice enough to give me some cheese, bread and fruit after she saw the mortal terror in my eyes when I saw the lasagne or whatever it was in front of me. I hope I don’t have trouble getting some water onto the plane too. At least I know that sesame sticks aren’t as dangerously explosive as bottled water and are much less likely to be disguised bombs, so I can bring those on.
Next post will probably be from Japan, as I don’t anticipate free wifi in Frankfurt. Wish me a safe flight!

Followed a link above – and sent a post to last year!
Forgot you were going quite so soon. Good luck.
