&lt;p&gt;I did a bit of work with Boost&#039;s ASIO library yesterday too.. I&#039;ll post about that later. I didn&#039;t realise that structs could have constructors! But you&#039;re totally right, that&#039;s the way it&#039;s gotta be done here.&lt;/p&gt;

Boost is handy for threading isnt it! I was playing around with it during the week as well. As for the struct, I think you need to state a constructor explicitly if you want to do that.&lt;/p&gt;
